Copper Enamel Diya (Set of 2) - Decorative Copper Puja Diya

Copper Enamel Diya (Set of 2) – Handcrafted Copper Diya for Puja, Diwali and Navratri The Kansa & Clay Heritage Kitchen Copper Enamel Diya is a copper oil lamp finished with intricate hand-applied enamel detailing. At 7 cm in diameter it is a full-sized diya – large enough to hold a proper measure of oil and burn steadily through an evening of puja, rather than the small decorative lamps that need refilling every hour. Each piece is made by artisans of Maharashtra, a region with an established tradition of enamel work on copper. The colour is applied and fired by hand, so the depth and tone shift slightly from lamp to lamp. This set contains 2 diyas. Product Highlights • Set of 2 Diyas – Supplied as a matched pair. • Diameter – Approximately 7 cm, a practical size for daily puja and festival use. • Copper Body, Hand-Applied Enamel – Intricate enamel detailing worked over a copper base by hand. • Handcrafted by Maharashtra Artisans – Made by artisan families practising traditional copper enamel craft. • Holds a Full Measure of Oil – The 7 cm bowl takes enough sesame oil, ghee or lamp oil to burn without frequent topping up. • Reusable Year After Year – A permanent alternative to clay diyas that are discarded after each festival. • Care and Maintenance – Wipe clean with a soft dry cloth once cooled. Do not soak, scrub or use metal polish or abrasive cleaners on the enamel. Why Choose the Copper Enamel Diya? • Sized for Real Use, Not Just Display – At 7 cm this is a working lamp. It lights the puja room properly and holds enough oil to stay lit. • Made for Diwali, Navratri and Daily Puja – Suits the festival calendar and the everyday morning lamp equally. • A Pair Suits Most Settings – Two diyas flank a deity, mark a doorway, or sit either side of a puja thali – the arrangement most households actually use. • Every Lamp Is Slightly Different – Hand-fired enamel produces natural variation in colour and finish, which distinguishes it from machine-printed decor. • A Considered Gift – Well suited to Diwali gifting, Navratri return gifts, housewarmings and festive hampers. • Sustains a Specialised Craft – Copper enamel work is practised by a small number of artisan families, and each order supports that work directly. How is this different from the Copper Enamel Spring Diya? The Spring Diya is smaller at 5.5 cm with a spring motif, and is better suited to grouping in numbers. Sesame oil, ghee or standard lamp oil with a cotton wick, in the traditional way. 5. How do I clean the enamel? Let the lamp cool, then wipe with a soft dry cloth. The enamel is fired onto the copper and is intended for use as a working oil lamp. 7. Is this suitable for return gifts? Yes. A set of 2 is a common choice for Navratri and Diwali return gifts, and for small festive hampers.
